Welcome to the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. "Engineering the Future" is the motto of the department. The department is committed to the pursuit of excellence in teaching and research. Both of our undergraduate programs, EEE & ETE, are acredited by the Board of Acreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE) under the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB). The department is now practicing the Outcome Based Education (OBE) in order to align with the Washington Accord. The department strives to cover teaching and research in the broad areas of Electrical, Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering which includes fields such as Renewable Energy, Power Systems, Smart Grid, Telecommunications, Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Robotics etc. The faculty members mostly having foreign degrees are known for their contribution to their respective fields at home and abroad. Students are encouraged to pursue research and scholarly activities since we believe that the students and research of today are the embodiment of the technology tomorrow.
