The responsibilities of the committee:
● Prepare annual budget reflecting comprehensive feedback from other committees of the department.
● Keep records of all the expenses of the department and keep a track of individual budget heads.
● Collect procurement requirements from all the committees.

● Provide procurement order and track updates on the procurement until the delivery of the product(s). |

Course Coordination and Student Retention Committee:
The responsibilities of the committee include but is not limited to:
● Facilitate coordination of the multi-sectioned courses.
● Maintain a pool of SoDs and assign appropriate SoDs for the courses in each semester.
● Facilitate course related student presentations.
● Manage & moderate question preparation, & answer scripts checking for co-ordinated courses.
● Facilitate coordinated Midterm & final exams.
● Prepare OBE materials & provide the related material to department office
● Manage thesis and senior projects
● Develop policies that support an inclusive academic environment and address the diverse needs of students to promote academic achievement.
● Design and manage programs that enhance student engagement and academic success, including mentorship, peer tutoring, and orientation programs.
● Seek and incorporate student feedback to better understand their needs and improve their academic and social experiences.

Lab Development & Resource Management Committee:
The responsibilities of the committee:
● Assess the requirements of labs and classrooms to ensure smooth classroom operations.
● Gather hardware/software courses list from the faculty members and mobilize procurement accordingly.
● Keep inventories of all the hardware/software resources of the department.
● Monitor networking capability of the labs by coordinating with the related officer of CITS
● SoDs for the system support. (if required)

Research & Innovation Committee:
The responsibilities of the committee:
● Propose research and publication related policies and guidelines for the department.
● Gather research proposals from the full-time faculty members of the department and tentatively provisional fund. Each budget year, the department will formulate its research budget based on these provisional fund allocation.
● Evaluate the research progression and performance of each faculty member in an academic year.
● Maintain, highlight and archive all the research activities of the department which include publications, senior projects and theses.
● Assess the requirements of the research groups and maintain common research related equipment of the department.
● Facilitate internship and senior project related activities and provide guidance to the students.
● Conduct seminars and workshops on a regular basis with internal and external researchers.

Publicity & Outreach Committee:
The responsibilities of the committee include but is not limited to:
● Organize different workshops/technical seminar/training camps.
● Maintain the department website and keep it up to date.
● Manage and monitor the activities of different clubs under the EEE department.
● Maintain liaison with the alumni, organize yearly alumni event, invite alumni to take part in all kinds of departmental events.
● Oversee the PR activities of the department.
● Manage the industry academia relationship.
● Organize showcase/tour for the potential student during admission tests.
● Provide required feedback to scholarship committee meeting.
● Prepare plan for marketing/promotion of the department with possible impact analysis. |

Recruitment and Promotion Committee::
The responsibilities of the committee:
● Assess the need for new recruitments (faculty and staff) based on specialization and field of expertise.
● Propose new positions and replacements when there are vacancies.
● Prepare guidelines for shortlisting the candidates and score the prospective candidates according to the guidelines.
● Review and update guidelines for the promotion of the faculty members and the staffs.
● Arrange faculty orientation.
● Perform mentoring facilities for the junior/new faculty members.

Faculty and Staff Development Committee:
The responsibilities of the committee:
● Identifying the technical training needs of the faculty members and staff (e.g., R&D officers and Lab Technicians) and coordinating the training arrangements, in consultation with the Department Head
● Obtaining funds and coordinating allocation of funds for sending faculty and staff to participate in training programs.
● Setting rubrics to measure the effectiveness of different faculty and staff technical training programs.
● Evaluating the training efficiency periodically and maintaining the training records of the faculty and staff members.
● Providing other professional development opportunities for faculty members and staff, including leadership training which can help in organizational development.
● Incorporating the effective use of new technology for teaching/learning, research and departmental management purposes. |
